Functional software testing represents the majority of the outsourcing services that TESTCo provides to our clients. In most cases, the problem being solved is validation that the software code behaves and produces outputs as specified in the requirements.
We primarily use Black Box software testing methods and supplement with White Box software testing when validating system integration.
Smoke Testing and Sanity Check Software Testing is a quick set of tests to determine overall fitness of the software and is an important part of our software testing methods.
Software Regression Testing is a form of functional software testing where the focus is on the entirety of the application rather than the currently developed features and is used to insure that new features did not accidentally break previously working features.
Cross Browser and Cross Operating System software testing is becoming more common as devices and browser proliferate and clients want to make sure their application works well under a variety of different operating systems, devices and browsers.
Usability testing is not actually functional software testing but we frequently provide usability feedback during the software testing process if requested by our clients. Functional software testing represents over 75% of world wide QA outsourcing.
